Bid Manager / Bid Writer
to join our dynamic and collaborative team on a part-time, 3-day-per-week basis as part of a job-share arrangement.
This is a strategic and hands-on role that sits at the heart of our growth and development. You'll play a crucial role in driving new business opportunities by leading and managing the end-to-end bid and tender process. From identifying opportunities to writing compelling, winning proposals, you will help us scale access to high-quality mental healthcare across the UK.
We work fully remotely and welcome candidates who are highly motivated self-starters, with the discipline and drive to thrive in a virtual environment.
As Bid Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, coordinating and delivering high-quality bid submissions, and continuously improving our bid management processes.
This is a varied and impactful role that combines commercial acumen, excellent written communication skills, and a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape -particularly in mental health and neurodevelopmental services.
You will:
Monitor and track relevant tender portals and procurement frameworks for opportunities aligned with our services.
Manage the end-to-end tender process, including bid qualification, writing, coordination, submission, and post-bid feedback.
Lead on bids for ADHD, Autism and Talk Therapy services to NHS, insurance providers, ICBs, universities, and local authorities.
Work with senior stakeholders (CEO, CFO, Clinical Leads) to shape and evolve our bid strategy and service offering.
Manage multiple concurrent bids and ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality submissions.
Develop and maintain a central bid library, integrating feedback to strengthen future proposals.
Liaise with internal teams (Clinical, Product, Tech, Operations) to gather required content and input for each bid.
Coordinate and facilitate go/no-go bid meetings, and post-bid debriefs.
Improve internal systems and processes for tracking bids and opportunities.
Contribute to service design for our neurodevelopmental and therapy services.
Advise on resource planning, including future hiring of temporary or permanent bid support roles.
Represent ProblemShared on procurement frameworks and promote our services to new potential partners.
Report to senior management on pipeline activity, submission status, and success rates.
Ensure technical, legal, and operational compliance in all submissions.
What We Are Looking For
Must Haves:
Minimum 5+ years' experience in bid/tender management, within a private healthcare or health tech (SaaS, tech, or B2B) environment.
A proven track record of writing and managing successful bids, proposals, and tenders (RFPs, RFIs, Right to Choose, etc.).
Technical fluency - comfortable engaging with Clinical, Operations, Product & Engineering teams to streamline technical input and clarify responses.
Experience working with NHS Trusts, ICBs, or other healthcare commissioning organisations.
Strong commercial and strategic thinking skills - able to assess and prioritise high-value opportunities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage and prioritise multiple deadlines across complex bid processes.
Confident in working independently in a fully remote team environment.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and tender portal tools.
A solutions-oriented mindset with resilience and a collaborative working style.
Nice to Haves:
Familiarity with the neurodevelopmental/mental health field.
Understanding of NHS procurement processes and health system strategy.
Previous experience managing or mentoring other team members.
