As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced
Bid Writer
to join our dynamic team based in
Stoke-on-Trent
. This is a key role that will directly support our business development efforts through the creation of compelling, high-quality bids and tender submissions.
The Role
As a
Bid Writer
, you will be responsible for producing persuasive written content that clearly articulates the value of our services in response to public sector tenders. You will work closely with our estimating, operational, and senior management teams to ensure that all submissions meet client expectations and stand out in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
Produce high-quality written content for PQQs, ITTs, and framework submissions in the M&E and social housing maintenance space.
Coordinate and manage the end-to-end bid process, ensuring deadlines are met.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather technical and operational input.
Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and compelling written responses.
Develop and maintain a library of standard responses and company information.
Ensure all submissions are compliant with client specifications and evaluation criteria.
Support continuous improvement in bid writing processes and outcomes.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Bid Writer within the construction or M&E sector - ideally with a focus on
social housing
.
Strong understanding of the tendering process for public sector contracts.
Excellent written English, with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
Proficient in MS Office (particularly Word and Excel).
A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
