Job Description

At Hill, we don't just submit bids--we tell compelling stories that win work and build partnerships. As our Bid Writer, you'll play a central role in creating high-quality written responses that communicate our strengths, reflect our values, and secure new opportunities.


You'll work with stakeholders across the business to craft tailored content for EOIs, SQs, and ITTs--making sure every submission is accurate, persuasive, and aligned with Hill's voice and strategy.

What you'll do:



Write clear, engaging responses for PQQs, SQs, and tenders Work with colleagues across Pre-Construction, Health & Safety, Marketing and Delivery teams to gather content Create and maintain case studies, staff CVs and project narratives Conduct research to tailor submissions to client needs and expectations Ensure all documents are written and formatted to a high standard, aligned with Hill's brand Collaborate with the bid and design teams to develop presentation content for interviews Support ongoing updates to the bid content library and templates Participate in bid reviews and feedback sessions to continuously improve quality and impact Maintain accurate records of submissions and support document management

What we're looking for:



Experience writing qualitative content for bids and tenders Excellent writing, grammar, and editing skills, with a strong grasp of tone and structure Ability to translate technical information into plain, persuasive language Highly organised with strong time management and attention to detail Confidence working with internal stakeholders at all levels A collaborative, can-do mindset and a passion for delivering quality Knowledge of the residential or affordable housing sector is a plus
