This role helps the Bids & Pursuits Team meet its objectives and targets by providing high-quality logistical support to Pursuits & Opportunity Conversion Leads (or Head of Bids and Pursuits) and opportunity teams. You will also get the chance to lead aspects of the bid yourself whilst supported by experienced, professional team members who have helped BDO win and keep major clients. In this role you\'ll:

  • Develop a draft project plan that details all milestones within the opportunity lifecycle (meetings, strategy and proposition development, document production, presentation preparation and debriefs etc) and follows BDO\xe2\x80\x99s \xe2\x80\x9cbest practice\xe2\x80\x9d approach. Agreeing the plan with the relevant Pursuits & Opportunity Conversion Lead (or Head of Bids and Pursuits) and communicating it to the opportunity team. Being accountable for monitoring and updating the project plan to meet the deadline.
  • Advise opportunity teams on the requirements of the plan and getting their buy-in to follow it.
  • Drive activity on the plan so all milestones and deliverables are met on time. This includes booking meetings and making sure participants have relevant material, reminding contributors about their milestones and checking they will be met on time. You will also make sure all tender documents are signed off by an appropriate member of the team (POCL) and the lead partner.
  • Lead document production. This includes booking and briefing design resources, day-to-day liaison with design team, booking any reviews (or specialist contributors) and organising any printing or other collateral to ensure it is of a high standard and meets the requirements set by the RFP. Maintaining version control.
  • Help to develop and promote best practice systems and procedures, including bid tools, methodologies, templates and credentials data
  • Ensure the team gathers feedback from the client and internal teams to help identify areas of improvement/investment
You\'ll be someone with:
  • An interest in bidding (and winning)
  • Considerable amount of experience of working in a bid and pursuits team (ideally from a professional services business)
  • Willingness to manage ambiguity
  • The ability to plan, prioritise, and organise in a time-sensitive environment
  • Sound experience and good understanding of proposal production
  • The ability to adapt style to different stakeholders
  • A degree/ relevant professional qualification is desired (but not essential).
