Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Packer to join our team at Cycle Solutions in Swansea. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products are accurately packed and prepared for shipping, contributing directly to our commitment to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented

Bike Packer

to prepare bicycles for storage, shipment, or customer delivery. This role involves

heavy lifting

, careful handling of high-value items, and ensuring bikes are securely packaged to prevent damage in transit.

Key Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently lift, move, and handle bicycles and related equipment, often weighing 20-30kg. Handle and pack bikes into the following box sizes:

Reinforced Bike Box:

200 x 27 x 130 cm

Large Bike Box:

190 x 26 x 124 cm

Small Bike Box:

178 x 19 x 115 cm

Tri Box:

190 x 61 x 124 cm

Select appropriate packing materials and methods to ensure maximum protection during transit. Use packaging tools such as bubble wrap, foam, cardboard inserts, and custom bike boxes. Label boxes clearly with customer and delivery details. Load packed bikes onto pallets or vehicles for shipping. Inspect bikes before packing for defects, missing parts, or damage, and report any issues to the supervisor. Maintain a clean and safe packing area, following all workplace health & safety guidelines. Work closely with the warehouse, workshop, and delivery teams to meet daily dispatch targets.

Skills & Requirements

Experience in warehouse, workshop, or order-picking/packing environment preferred. Physically fit and able to lift up to 30kg repeatedly throughout the day. Attention to detail and care in handling high-value items. Ability to work as part of a team and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of bicycle parts and assembly (desirable but not essential). Good communication skills and a positive work attitude.

Work Environment

Manual handling is a core part of this role - safety equipment and training provided. Work will take place in a warehouse or workshop setting, which may involve standing for long periods.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
