Your Role and What You'll Be Doing




You'll work with the centralised billing team to provide paralegal support to assist with all aspects of billing and housekeeping and contributing to the aim of achieving department financial targets and compliance. In the Public Law team, we're keen to have you on board if you are a great team player and willing to learn quickly. You'll have your own caseload right from the beginning so this is a fantastic opportunity to gain real, hands-on experience in a law firm, duties include, but not limited to:


Assisting the team in hitting financial targets and maintain low KPI rejections through financial awareness, expertise and monitoring case progression Ensuring regulatory & IM standards are met and proactively manage risk through progressing files Achieving SLAs in the team to ensure consistent good service for internal and external clients Assisting team in organisation of work in a timely manner and consistently follow agreed processes, departmental guidelines and policies Raising any inefficiencies, propose potential solutions with management and support the delivery of plans Building and demonstrating expertise, sharing knowledge with the team and consistently participating in continuous personal development

About You




We're looking for a Paralegal with a friendly, enthusiastic and can-do approach, who is a well-motivated individual. Our ideal candidate will have the following:


Good attention to detail skills Proficient in Microsoft packages like Excel Good communication, both written and verbal Demonstrable experience working to SLAs and KPIs Demonstrable knowledge of Legal Aid, CCMS and Law Costs The ability to motivate others to deliver and exceed objectives Empathy and compassion to help guide our clients through challenging personal circumstances Previous experience gained as a paralegal is desirable.
