Job Description

Buro Happold is recruiting for a AV BIM Technician to join our Specialist BIM team. This role would be based in our London office.


This role is suited to a candidate from an architectural or engineering, production and delivery background looking for an opportunity to pursue a career within a vibrant multi-disciplinary practice.



The AV BIM Technician will work as part of the Specialist BIM team, specialising in the areas of digital delivery and BIM for the AV team, working with team members to drive implementation of best practice as well as our BIM policy. The objective is to make working with BIM workflows efficient and Business as Usual for all applicable projects. The AV BIM Specialist will work with the Specialist BIM Team and Group BIM Leads to challenge our highly engaged community of AV Designers and Engineers to work together to develop increasingly streamlined and automated approaches to their project delivery.


The role reports directly to the Specialists BIM Lead and AV Group Director and will be responsible for the delivery and support of AV projects.

Responsibilities



Working closely with the Audio Visual, & Acoustics team to deliver high quality BIM projects to agreed deadlines. Develop AV automation workflows Create and produce visuals and project renders. Producing detailed, coordinated Revit models to a high level of detail. Create detailed AV Revit family groups Support BIM Lead with design model maintenance. Troubleshoot problems. Providing guidance and advice to team members on the use of Revit techniques Involvement in a wide variety of project types including medium to large scale projects. Engaging with the wider Buro Happold BIM community to foster inter-office relationships and improvement of global processes.

Skills & Experience



Experience working in production and delivery. Experience working with Autodesk Products (Revit) Experience creating visuals and rendering Good knowledge of Revit Families (creating and editing) Experience on working on large scale projects desirable but not essential. Experience on working on BIM360/ACC desirable but not essential. Sound communication skills, willingness to work as part of a team, not being afraid to discuss your ideas and way of thinking. A proactive approach to your own learning and technical development. A keen interest in the implementation of digital design tools and scripting to improve efficiency and workflows. Experience and awareness of Dynamo or other automation practices would be advantageous but not essential Ideally HNC, HND, BEng/BArch or MSc/MArch in a relevant discipline
