The Clatterbridge Cancer is the largest networked cancer centre serving a population of 2.4 million across Merseyside and Cheshire. The Trust has embedded research as part of a key aspect of patient choice. The Research and Innovation Team have established key work areas to set-up and deliver research studies for all patients. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join a dynamic team with research for patient at the heart of what we do. The post-holder will be responsible for day to day aspects of the CCC Biobank and Clinical Trials Lab.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will administer and manage all aspects of the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Biobank to provide an efficient and effective sample: collection, processing, storage/ shipping service keeping meticulous records and a full audit trail for biobanking and clinical trials. To use the Laboratory Information Management System for sample management and ensure all equipment used is fit for purpose. To work flexibly and ensure adherence to legal and local procedural requirements.To manage the smooth running of the laboratory, assuring compliance with Health and Safety and Standard Operating Procedures. To manage laboratory staff and ensure training and compliance
