Duties
Design, test, and evaluate medical equipment and devices to ensure functionality and compliance with safety regulations.
Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of biomedical equipment within clinical environments.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess equipment needs and develop customised solutions.
Maintain detailed documentation of equipment performance, repairs, and modifications.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new medical systems across various departments.
Provide technical support and training to clinical staff on the proper use of biomedical devices.
Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry standards relevant to biomedical engineering.
Requirements
Laboratory experience in a biomedical or related scientific environment is highly desirable.
Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills for liaising with multidisciplinary teams.
Valid driving licence is preferred for travel between sites or service locations.
Strong IT skills, including familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software and medical device management systems.
Knowledge of biochemistry and related biological sciences is advantageous for understanding device applications in clinical contexts.
Effective communication skills are essential for documenting technical information clearly and training staff appropriately.
