Testudo, a US military contractor, is seeking experienced Biomedical Equipment Technicians (BMET) to provide comprehensive maintenance, inspection, and support services for medical and dental equipment at RAF Lakenheath. This position supports the 48th Medical Group and is critical to ensuring uninterrupted clinical operations in a forward-deployed setting.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and unscheduled repairs on medical and dental devices.
Evaluate equipment for compliance with DoD, FDA, NFPA 99, TJC, and other applicable standards.
Document all service actions using the government CMMS (DMLSS/TEWLS).
Support Quality Control procedures for receipt and turn-in of medical equipment.
Communicate effectively with clinical staff and chain of command regarding equipment status and safety.
Maintain a high state of readiness for inspection, safety, and infection control compliance.
Assist with inventory management and equipment turn-ins.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree or higher, or equivalent (e.g., military training), as an electronics technician and/or Biomedical Equipment Technician.
Minimum of three (3) years hospital/healthcare experience performing medical equipment maintenance.
Certification by the American Association of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) or as a Veterans Administration Biomedical Equipment Technician is desirable.
Required Pre-Start Health Documentation:
Immunization records for Hepatitis A & B, MMR, Varicella, and Influenza.
Negative TB test (within last 12 months) or chest X-ray documentation if previously positive.
Physical examination certification confirming freedom from communicable diseases including TB, Hep B, and HIV.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (local UK time)
Potential for occasional after-hours support.

Position is contingent upon contract award with the U.S. Department of the Air Force.
