BIW Repair Technician - Dents & Peaks

To ensure the structural and visual integrity of vehicle bodies by identifying and repairing dents, peaks, and surface irregularities in the Body-in-White (BIW) stage of production.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection & Diagnosis:

Visually and manually inspect BIW components for dents, peaks, and surface defects. Use measurement tools and templates to assess deviations from standard geometry.
Repair Execution:

Perform manual and mechanical corrections using tools such as hammers, dollies, pneumatic dent pullers, and grinders. Apply heat treatment or cold working techniques where necessary to restore surface form.
Quality Assurance:

Verify repairs meet dimensional and surface quality standards. Collaborate with quality control to ensure compliance with OEM specifications.
Documentation & Reporting:

Record defect types, locations, and repair actions in digital or paper-based systems. Communicate recurring issues to supervisors and suggest process improvements.
Safety & Maintenance:

Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE. Maintain tools and workstations in clean and operational condition.

Skills & Qualifications:

Technical diploma or equivalent experience in automotive body repair or metalworking. Proficiency in using BIW repair tools and equipment. Strong attention to detail and understanding of vehicle geometry. Ability to read technical drawings and work instructions.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 4 weeks

Pay: 24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
