Blending Section Leader

Reporting to: Manufacturing Manager

Job Specification:

This is a unique opportunity to join our team, leading a small unit you will be hands on and responsible for all aspects of food production in our liquid blending plant.

This position is part of the HACCP team

Lead a small team responsible for all elements of liquid production

Operate process plant to produce consistent quality products in line with pre -set recipes

Ensure all process plant equipment is maintained and functioning correctly to support consistent production performance.

Support Quality Manager with complying with BRC requirements

Ensure product testing and production records are maintained

Plan daily production in line with packing line demands

Manage ingredients and stock holdings in line with stock holding policy

Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained and ready for use

Ensuring works orders are completed effectively and ERP is updated on a timely basis

Ensuring their role in product release and quarantine procedures are followed, that ensures food safety, quality and legality standards are maintained

Produce product samples for customers and assist in the development of new products

Identify, procure and test raw materials for new and existing products

Participate, support and provide feedback to customers on products and samples

Person Specification:

Experienced in the hands-on manufacture of food / beverage / pharma products

Used to working in a fast-paced, controlled manufacturing environment

IT Literate - MS office and used to working with ERP systems

Excellent communication / people skills, quick to comprehend situations and act with tact and diplomacy, motivates others to achieve

Takes ownership of problems, resilient, finds solutions and actions them

Persistent in order to get jobs done (a completer)

Remains positive when under pressure

Numerate and pays attention to detail

Intelligent and uses initiative, curious

Enthusiastic and quick to respond to the needs of the business

Adaptable, hands-on approach

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 37,000.00-40,000.00 per year
