As a Team Leader in the Blending department on the pm shift, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our blending processes. Reporting to the Blending Manager, you will lead a team of dedicated individuals and contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
In more detail your role will include:
Supervising and leading the team of Blending Operatives during the Shift
Ensuring 100% conformity in bulk products and adherence to blending room
procedures
Logging processes and ensuring that the blending procedures are followed
accurately
Troubleshooting issues that may arise during blending processes and implement
corrective actions.
Ensuring that Quality Records are accurate, maintained and up to date
Assisting in managing inventory of department consumables and the purchasing of
items necessary for routine production
Conducting product and ingredient conformity tests using laboratory equipment
Calibrating measuring instruments in strict accordance with Quality Procedures.
Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the department.
Provide guidance and training to team members, ensuring their growth and
development.
Create a culture of Health & Safety awareness, good manufacturing practices, high
quality standard and effective housekeeping.
Requirements:
Prior experience in a supervisory role within a fast-paced environment desirable
Effective communicator, proven experience of delivering key messages and updates
to your team and collaborating with other departments
Problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset
Ability to adapt quickly to changing blending priorities
Knowledgeable of when and how to escalate issues, concerns or challenges to the
appropriate stakeholders for resolution.
Excellent organisation and time management skills
