We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. This role requires proficiency in accounting software, with a preference for experience in Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks.
Duties
Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals.
Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks is essential.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A relevant qualification in finance or accounting is advantageous but not mandatory.
