About the role
Here at Booker, we are looking for an ICFR Compliance Support Analyst to join our Finance Control team. This is a key role supporting Booker's implementation of enhanced Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR), in line with Tesco Group's wider compliance responsibilities under the UK Corporate Governance Code from FY27.
You will work closely with both Booker and Tesco finance teams, as well as business stakeholders, to review and support the rollout of manual ICFR control remediations. As part of a collaborative team, you will also help embed a sustainable, business-as-usual approach to ICFR compliance across the organisation.
This role would suit someone with a strong financial background who is either qualified or working towards an accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA). You'll need great attention to detail, a continuous improvement mindset, and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
The role offers flexibility with hybrid working; 3 days in our office and 2 days working from home.
You will be responsible for
Support the review of Booker's Risk and Control Matrices (RACMs), identifying and summarising any manual ICFR control remediation actions required
Assist in the rollout and embedding of ICFR manual control remediations across relevant business functions
Collaborate with Booker finance and business teams to establish and maintain a sustainable "business as usual" approach to ICFR compliance
Ensure continued compliance with internal ICFR standards and Booker's key financial controls
Liaise with internal stakeholders and external auditors to support control documentation and evidence requirements
Contribute to ongoing improvements in control design and implementation, supporting the organisation's readiness for Tesco Group's FY27 ICFR attestation requirements
Help drive awareness and understanding of ICFR requirements across the wider business
You will need
An accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA) or be actively working towards one
A strong financial background, with the ability to support and challenge control environments
Proven experience in a similar role or working within a financial control/compliance environment
A proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive team-based results
Experience supporting projects or process improvement initiatives
A keen eye for detail and a naturally curious mindset
A desire to add value and drive positive change across processes and teams
Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across finance and operational teams
A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo
A commitment to living the Tesco values - working together, showing respect, and doing the right thing
