Is seeking a full-time position - 37 hrs per week

for maternity cover starting in early September (there is some flexibility in the start date).



Bookings and Finance Officer Level 2



Bradley Stoke Town Council is a busy Town Council based within South Gloucestershire and is seeking to appoint a customer focused Bookings and Finance Officer Level 2 to support the Finance Manager in the financial aspects of Town Council business.

A proven background within financial administration will be essential with accounts experience working with Sage 50 Accounts covering the purchase and sales ledger, bank reconciliations, Vat & some payroll. The role will include being responsible for the processing of monthly staff card and petty cash payments, processing direct debits and generating reports for Council or the Finance Committee on a monthly basis. Involvement with the bookings of 3 Activity Centres will also be required for holiday cover under the supervision of the Finance Manager.

In addition to Sage 50 Accounts, strong numeracy, Word and Excel skills will be required and the ability to manage work within strict timelines. Applicants will require one or more of the following: Sage level 1 - 4, AAT Level 2, or other relevant qualifications or experience in addition to NVQ 2 or 5 GCSE's at grade 'C' or above including English and Mathematics or equivalent.

The Post holder will need to be a strong team player with an excellent phone manner and good oral and written communication skills dealing with members of the public, suppliers and other council staff whilst representing Bradley Stoke Town Council.

This is a full-time position for maternity cover starting in early September , based upon 37 hours per week, office based and working Monday - Friday on a 13-month contract.

Salary Range: 26,824 - 28,598 per annum (NJC Scale 8 - 12).



Starting salary dependent upon experience & qualification.
