We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing essential support for our financial operations. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of accounts payable processes.
Responsibilities
Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Process accounts payable, including invoice verification and payment processing.
Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage to manage financial data effectively.
Experience
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role is essential.
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
