Middlesex Carpentry Limited is a well-established carpentry firm based in Stow cum Quy, Cambridge. We specialise in carpentry for large-scale projects, working primarily with Tier 1 main contractors on first and second fix carpentry, fire doors, and other large-scale installations. We are seeking a reliable and organised part-time bookkeeper to help us manage our financial records.

This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who can work independently and is comfortable with a flexible schedule. While the initial workload is approximately two hours per week, there will be an opportunity for additional hours initially to help us get our accounts in order.

Responsibilities

Processing and organising invoices on a weekly basis. Allocating invoices and expenses to specific projects. Reconciling bank statements and managing accounts payable/receivable. Keeping track of upcoming payments and ensuring they are made on time. Maintaining accurate financial records and reports.

Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience in bookkeeping or a similar financial role. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
