We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to manage our financial records efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounts, processing transactions, and supporting the overall financial health of our organisation. Experience with various accounting software packages is essential to ensure seamless bookkeeping operations and compliance with financial regulations.
Responsibilities
Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and promptly
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is correctly entered and categorised
Prepare financial reports, summaries, and statements as required
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims
Support audit preparations by organising relevant documentation and records
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
Collaborate with external accountants or auditors during financial reviews
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within a professional environment
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
A recognised qualification in accounting or finance is desirable but not essential
