Are you an experienced and proactive finance professional looking for a varied and rewarding role within a growing business? We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper / Finance Administrator to join our friendly and collaborative finance team in Worthing. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of financial operations within a diverse group of companies across West Sussex and the Midlands, supporting our continued expansion and success. Key Responsibilities



In this role, you will take ownership of day-to-day financial processes and ensure accurate and timely reporting across the business. Your responsibilities will include:

Full-Cycle Bookkeeping: maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records across the group. Transaction Processing: managing invoices, payments, receipts, and expenses efficiently. Reconciliations: reconciling bank, credit card, and merchant statements. Payroll: processing monthly payroll and pension submissions with accuracy and confidentiality. VAT Returns: preparing and submitting VAT returns. Credit Control: monitoring accounts receivable and chasing overdue payments. Administrative Support: assisting management with financial reporting, responding to phone and email enquiries, and supporting ad-hoc administrative tasks.

About You



We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated individual who thrives in a varied role and enjoys taking ownership of their work.

Essential Skills & Experience:



Solid, practical experience in bookkeeping and payroll within a business environment. Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts, Sage 50 Payroll, and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular). AAT Level 3 qualification or higher (or equivalent experience 3 + years). Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to confidentiality. Excellent data entry skills, organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
