Join Our Team - Bookkeeper needed!
We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our team. We are a small established family business in the Plumbing and Heating sector. This post is a maternity leave cover of 1 year but potential to be kept on at least part time after 1 year.

As the main bookkeeper, you will be required to work on own initiative, experience of sage payroll and accounts are necessary. Although you do not need to have experience in all tasks as these can be learned.
Weekly payroll and submitting pension
CIS returns (Small amounts of sub-contractors)
Sales ledger - Creating invoices and posting payments
Purchase ledger - creating purchase orders, and completing process to invoice stage. Batching invoices and posting payment .
End of Month payment runs.
Keeping on top of ledgers.
Answer telephone and deal with queries.
And many other smaller tasks.
Office Hours:
Monday - Fri : 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (or 8.00am -4.00pm)
Lunch break is one hour (paid) and alternated each day with other staff to ensure phone lines are always available.
We are looking for someone to start soon so that you can spend time with the existing bookkeeper before she starts maternity leave, learning the job.
