Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire.

This full-time role is vital in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our clients' financial health. The position offers opportunities for professional growth and study support for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as Xero and FreeAgent. Prepare and reconcile accounts payable and receivable. Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with company policies. Support the preparation of financial statements and reports. Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure smooth financial operations. Provide add-hoc payroll cover for our internal payroll manger. Assist with quarterly VAT reviews and submissions for a range of different clients. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience with accounting software including Xero and FreeAgent. Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills. Prior experience in practice or similar environment is preferred. A qualification in accounting or finance is advantageous but not essential.
