We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team at our head office in Hemingstone, Ipswich. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, Payroll and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software, including QuickBooks. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of our organisation.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Recording daily financial transactions
Making VAT Submissions
CIS knowledge essential for verifying subcontractors, producing CIS statements, and submitting CIS returns to HMRC
Weekly and monthly payroll for employees
Updating a general ledger
Preparing trial balances for perusal by accountants
Maintaining and filing requisite documents for taxation compliance
Monitoring cash flow
Producing financial reports to assist managers in making strategic decisions
Reconciling data
Quickbooks experience essential
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A relevant qualification in finance or accounting is preferred but not essential.
