Job Description

We are a small but busy accountancy practice based in Wall Heath, and we're looking for an experienced

Bookkeeper

to join our friendly team.

This is an

office-based role

, working Monday to Friday, with flexible hours between

27.5 and 37.5 hours per week

. We're looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage a varied workload across multiple clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Day-to-day bookkeeping for a range of clients Month-end bank reconciliations Managing purchase ledgers Preparation and submission of VAT returns Assisting with payroll processing and CIS returns (as required)

Essential Requirements:

Minimum

2 years' bookkeeping experience

Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and accounting processes Good working knowledge of

Microsoft Excel

Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

Desirable Experience:

Familiarity with

Hubdoc and Xero

Experience with payroll and

Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)
