We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with established accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, or QuickBooks is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals.
Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies as they arise.
Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.
Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
Provide support in the implementation of new accounting software or systems.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper.
Understands partial exceptions.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, or QuickBooks.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
A relevant qualification in accounting or finance is preferred but not mandatory.
