We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is essential in supporting the financial health of our organisation and requires proficiency in various accounting software.
Duties
Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities as needed.
Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accounting principles.
Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage to manage financial data efficiently.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within an accounting environment.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A relevant qualification in finance or accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
