We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team to cover maternity leave. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role is crucial in supporting our organisation's financial health and will involve the use of various accounting software.
Responsibilities
Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow effectively.
Prepare monthly financial reports and assist in budget preparation.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Skills
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
Good communication skills for liaising with team members and external stakeholders.
