We are a well-established and growing UK technology group operating within the circular economy, seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team based in High Wycombe.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled finance professional to become an integral part of a supportive and fast-moving business. This is a varied, hands-on position, with the successful candidate working closely with senior management, operational teams and external accountants to support the day-to-day running and growth of the group.
Job Responsibilities
With a primary focus on supporting the core business function, key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Processing payments, invoices, income, bills and receipts using Xero & Quickbooks
Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records across multiple group entities
Preparing weekly, monthly and ad-hoc financial reports, including aged debtors and creditors, bank reconciliations, supplier statement reconciliations and customer statements
Managing bank, card and payment provider reconciliations
Supporting month-end processes and ensuring clean, well-organised financial data
Assisting with year-end accounts preparation and liaising with external accountants
Handling payroll administration, including processing timesheets, holidays and workplace pension requirements
Maintaining organised digital filing systems for company documentation
Providing clear financial information to support director-level decision-making
Assisting with general office administration and ad-hoc support during busy periods
Key Skills & Experience
Minimum of 2 years' bookkeeping experience
Strong understanding of accounting principles and UK financial regulations
Proficient in Xero and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Experience working with multiple entities or group structures is advantageous
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Confident communicator with a professional and pragmatic approach
Ability to work independently, take initiative and manage competing priorities
