We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role will support a variety of clients and will require proficiency in various cloud accounting software.
Duties
Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
Prepare financial reports for management review, highlighting key insights and trends.
Assist with month-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Utilise cloud accounting software to streamline financial processes.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within an accounting environment.
Experience processing payroll
Strong knowledge of general accounting principles.
Proficiency in cloud accounting software is essential. E.g. Quickbooks, Xero, Sage, Freeagent.
Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively within deadlines.
Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and external stakeholders.
A relevant qualification in finance or accounting is mandatory. Preferably ICB but AAT considered.
