About Us

We are now seeking an experienced and motivated Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our growing team. Adaptable and willing to assist in other departments as needed
Role Overview
As a Part-Time Bookkeeper, you will oversee the full end-to-end finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and adherence to relevant legislation. This role requires strong experience with Sage 50 and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced and expanding business. The successful person may also be called upon to help out in the sales department as and when required, full training on this will be given.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts
Generate and issue weekly sales invoices using Sage 50
Manage purchase and sales ledgers, including credit control
Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC requirements
Run payroll and pension submissions
Monitor and chase overdue payments; manage the debtor ledger
Reconcile monthly bank statements
Produce monthly cash flow statements
Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants
Skills & Experience Required
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a finance role
Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts
Experience in payroll, cash flow management, and VAT returns
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Confident communicator for liaising with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Flexible, with a willingness to support other departments when needed
Desirable Attributes
Experience of working within a small to medium-sized business environment
Knowledge of the manufacturing or industrial supply sectors
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 17,500.00-18,500.00 per year
