Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (office-based)
Salary:
28,000 - 30,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
Purpose of Role
To provide accurate day-to-day processing of financial information, supporting the Finance Manager, Buying Team, and wider Head Office staff to ensure the smooth running of ROX's operations.
Key Responsibilities
Process supplier invoices, match to POs/delivery notes, and code to correct ledgers in Sage 50
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and credit control
Perform bank reconciliations and manage petty cash
Prepare VAT returns and support compliance submissions
Maintain accurate fixed asset and prepayment schedules
Support payroll by providing timesheet and cost data
Assist with month-end close (journals, accruals, reconciliations)
Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve invoice/payment queries
Maintain organised financial records in a paperless system
Provide ad hoc support to the Finance Manager, Buying Team, and other Head Office departments
Skills & Experience
Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally within retail or multi-site environment
Strong Sage 50 knowledge
Good Excel skills
High attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
Strong communication and supplier management skills
Qualifications
AAT qualification (Level 3 or 4) preferred but not essential
Solid bookkeeping experience (minimum 2-3 years) considered in place of formal study
