Job Description

Meta Digital Accounting is a Stroud-based accountancy firm looking for a Bookkeeper to join their small, close-knit team. The role will be part-time initially, with the potential to go full-time, if needed.

Key responsibilities:



Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for providing efficient and accurate finance and administrative support.

General bookkeeping duties - predominately using Xero, Iris and Microsoft Excel.

Bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations.

Quarterly VAT returns and HMRC submissions.

Act as a first point of contact for clients.

Requirements:



AAT Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.

Previous experience working in Xero is essential.

Excellent communicator with a great phone manner.

Strong written, organisational and communication skills and a strong attention to detail.

Discrete and professional, with the ability to understand the sensitivity of information they will be exposed to

There is an office dog so the candidate must be okay with dogs.

Experience:



Previous experience in an admin role is essential. Training will be provided after 6 months, following a review.

Package:



13 per hour, 22 hours per week. Ideally Tuesday - Friday, 9am - 3pm (though days/ times can be flexible for the right candidate).

19 days of annual leave per year plus bank holidays and a Christmas Shutdown.
