The Role
We are looking for a motivated
Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant
to join our growing team. This is a varied role supporting a broad client base, with opportunities to develop and progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Preparing and submitting
VAT returns
Processing
self-assessment tax returns
Supporting the
preparation of year-end accounts and CT600s
Handling
simple payroll, CIS returns, and pension submissions
Producing
in-year profit and loss reports
and supporting management accounts
Assisting with
client onboarding
and day-to-day queries
Using
QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Excel, payroll systems, and in-house spreadsheets
About You
AAT Level 3 (preferred)
or
AAT Level 2 with practice experience (considered)
Confident with bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, and self-assessments
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
A proactive, positive attitude with great communication skills
Enjoys working as part of a supportive team and building long-term client relationships
