Part time 3 or 4 days per week or equivalent (22.5 - 30 hrs)



Far & Wild Travel is a specialist tour operator based in London and Penrith in the Lake District. We organise tailormade holidays worldwide, using a mix of expertise, passion and attention to detail, to make sure every holiday is special. Role Description



We are looking for an accounts assistant / bookkeeper to run the day to day accounts function of our fast growing specialist travel business. The role with suit an experienced bookkeeper, or an accounts assistant with at least two years' experience. The role comes with a generous basic salary, inclusion in company incentives which in recent years have included trips to Kenya and Zambia, and discounted holidays.

Responsibilities



Daily banking and associated reconciliations using Quickbooks Managing weekly supplier payment process - involves liaising with the companies sales teams to collate payments, making international payments to our suppliers who are based worldwide in our holiday destinations Managing supplier credits Credit control - ensuring our customers make their balance payments accurately and on time Maintaining and managing key excel files used by whole company Key role in year end accounts preparation Point of contact for external accountants Quarterly financial reporting to the Civil Aviation Authority as part of their ATOL scheme Monthly financial reporting for management team Managing company expense claims providers are paid accurately and on time.

Requirements.



Minimum 2 years' experience QuickBooks experience preferable, or with similar accounting platform Attention to detail and numeracy Communication skills. We are a busy, growing specialist travel business, and you will be able to understand and communicate with colleagues in all parts of the business, and at all levels High degree of proficiency word as well as excel, and ability to learn and efficiently use multiple in-house software apps Buy-in to Far & Wilds vision and values.
