Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in accounting and proficiency in various accounting software to contribute to a dynamic environment.

Duties



Record and reconcile financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero and Dext. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments Prepare financial reports and statements to support management decision-making Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records in compliance with organisational policies and regulations Assist with payroll processing and tax filings as required Liaise with external auditors during audits to provide necessary documentation and support Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting processes to optimise financial efficiency Assist with office admin Additional duties: maintaining health and safety records, booking contractors to maintain good house keeping and building repairs.

Skills



Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero and Dext Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines Good communication skills, both written and verbal Prior experience with accounts payable is highly desirable Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Excellent administrative skills
This role is ideal for candidates who are meticulous, proactive, and eager to support organisational financial operations through their expertise in bookkeeping.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 24,420.00-29,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Birmingham B27 6NX
