Overview


We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes as well as carrying out some administrating roles. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of accounts payable. Duties



Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers and journals. Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to suppliers. Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies as necessary. Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review. Assist with month-end closing procedures and audits. Manage invoices, receipts, and other financial documents efficiently. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data is maintained. Utilise accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks to streamline processes. Working with management to secure competitive prices for projects / sites. Liaising directly with the contracts / project manager using the quick books system to create and send purchase orders to suppliers for materials required onsite. To keep the supplier database updated including verifying new suppliers i.e. requesting company insurance documents and ensuring they are kept up to date. Applying for warranties/guarantees when project are finalised. Ensure all staff are added to the training matrix and certificates stay up to date. Onboarding new staff, ensuring all HR documents are complete. Dealing with holiday requests from all staff and making management aware. Maintain the vehicle matrix for all tax, MOT and insurance and to deal with any vehicle maintenance/issues that may arise. Ensure all company insurance documents are in date, distributing these to our customers when requested and obtain new quotes when policies are due for renew.

Experience



Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role is essential. Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks is highly desirable. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reporting. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are a must. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and external partners. Experience in construction Admin is preferred.

Pay: 25,000.00-35,000.00 per year
