Lewis Cleansing is on the lookout for an experienced bookkeeper to join our office positioned in Kidderminster, Worcestershire.
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday (hours to be negotiated).
Salary: 27,300.00 - 28,606.50 (pro-rata)
As a bookkeeper at Lewis Cleansing, your role will be to work closely with management to create and analyse financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments. You should hold excellent competency in Sage and IT skills, along with the ability to work on your own initiative, you will be a key player in ensuring that the financial administration aspect of the business flows smoothly, ensuring that optimum levels of customer service are maintained at all times. You will be required to maintain a clear and well documented filing system and record keeping.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Maintain accurate financial records, including financial transactions, general ledger, and balance sheets
Perform bank reconciliations
Prepare and issue invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and promptly addressing any billing inquiries
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and relevant regulations
Assist in resolving any bookkeeping-related issues efficiently and professionally
Regular credit control of customer accounts
Liaising with customers to resolve invoice and payment queries
Preparing VAT returns
Answering office telephone and other basic administrative tasks if required

Requirements:
Previous bookkeeping experience (2 years+)
Strong knowledge of Sage 50 accounts and Microsoft Office Suite
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practises
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must pass a reference check
Must pass DBS check
