Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper/Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is crucial in supporting the financial health of our organisation and will involve working with various accounting software tools.

Duties



Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and payments in a timely manner. Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly. Prepare financial reports to assist management in decision-making processes. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures. Utilise accounting software, Sage and Xero, to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities as required. Prepare documentation and support external accountants as required. Processing monthly CIS Returns and Quarterly VAT Returns. Maintaining fleet vehicle and staff training records. General office administration.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, demonstrating strong accounting knowledge. Proficiency in accounting software, Xero and Sage. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to liaise with colleagues and external partners effectively. A qualification in Accounting or Finance would be an advantage but is not essential.
