Job title-Bookkeeper/Administrator Construction

The Administrator/bookkeeper is to assist with all administrative tasks necessary for the day-to-day operation of the company, particularly financial matters.

You are directly responsible to the office manager has your line manager.

This is a diverse role, involving multiple tasks at any one time and requiring high standards of personal organisation, good computer skills, a flexible approach and excellent interpersonal skills.

The applicant must be highly motivated, reliable, meticulous and totally trustworthy.

Main responsibilities Bookkeeping and Financial matters



Forward invoices to project management software

Process invoices in Xero with 100% accuracy

Process employee payroll with 100% accuracy

process regular subcontractors payroll with 100% accuracy

Locate and process missing invoices

reconcile accounts in Xero

complete CIS returns

complete Vat returns,

Prepare payment runs with thorough cross checking of statements etc.

Asset with CITB returns

assist with tax returns

assist with finance applications

manage project management software

manage xero prepare reports and refine

assist with returns to companies house

send payment reminders for unpaid invoices

Knowledge, skills and experience required



The role requires:



Required

A proven record of success in a similar role. Excellent knowledge and experience of working with Xero accounting software. Computer literate in Mac or Microsoft office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Excellent communication skills. Excellent organisational skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent numeracy and bookkeeping skills High attention to detail and ability to close out tasks Willingness to support colleagues and contribute to wider team activities An understanding of financial management
Preferred

Experience of working in a small team Knowledge of basic HR procedures Experience of working with iTrade software or equivalent Bookkeeping/Accounting Qualification, minimum AAT 2, preferable level 3, or equivalent. A good knowledge of the construction industry.

16-24 hours per week office based

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.50-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
