We are a small, friendly, family run company, looking for an experienced and proactive
bookkeeper/office manager
to join our team. This is an
on site only
, varied and hands on role, ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the full accounts function and supporting the wider business with financial and admin duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Banking -
Process bank payments and complete monthly bank reconciliations
- Sales Ledger -
Allocate customer payments, carry out credit control, and maintain accurate customer records.
- Purchase Ledger -
Process purchase invoices, reconcile supplier statements, manage supplier payments, and resolve queries or disputes.
- VAT -
Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
- CIS
- Allocate CIS payments (self employed subcontractors) and submit monthly CIS submissions and send subcontractor monthly statements.
- Management Accounts
- Produce monthly management accounts, including posting of journals (monthly salaries and Accountants year end adjustments)

with general office duties and running in her absence
About You:

AAT qualified
(or equivalent experience)
- Proficient in
Sage
- Experienced in
CIS
returns,
VAT
returns
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
- Confident working independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
- Be able to work as part of a team and help answer the phone and taking messages
- Must be confident with
Word and Excel
