We are seeking a highly organised Bookkeeper & Office Manager to oversee daily administrative operations within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience with various accounting software programmes. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth functioning of our office environment, ensuring efficient processes and effective communication across departments. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining records, and supporting overall office administration.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day office operations, including correspondence, ordering assistance and administrative support
Oversee accounts payable processes using accounting software, we are open to the successful candidate choosing the software f their choice from our year end 31.3.2026.
Maintain accurate financial records and assume responsibility for keeping all paperwork in good order.
Assist with budgeting and financial planning activities
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls
Experience
Proven experience as an efficient bookkeeper and being willing to help with the many diverse tasks of an SME.
Experience of digital bookkeeping software, including sales & purchase ledgers, bank reconciliation, VAT filing.
Ideally with construction industry experience of CIS and reverse charge VAT.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
Strong communication skills.
Willingness to be part of a small team.

Hours to Suit
The mindset and willingness of the successful candidate is the most important skill required. Anything we can do to support the efficient organisation of our paperwork will be offered.
Similarly, hours are flexible. The role is currently undertaken in a 20 hour per week contract however additional duties can be added, for example marketing, if the right candidate prefers a contract with more hours.
