Tasks:

Bookkeeper, handling invoices, accounts, and administrative tasks. Office Management, Insurance, H&S. End to end payroll and supporting permanent and seasonal workers. PA work for Partners.

Qualifications:

Experienced bookkeeper and strong accounting software skills and understanding of accountancy principles are essential. Good working knowledge of Microsoft office with proven office management skills. Technical knowledge of UK and Scottish payroll legislation.
Within the role, you will be responsible for carrying out essential bookkeeping functions, reconciling accounts, producing annual budgets and monthly management accounts for discussion at farm meetings, monitor cashflow. Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure compliance with UK regulations.

Liaising with accountants during the year and year end to produce timely annual accounts.

Monitoring and record keeping for Health and Safety policy and HMO requirements.

Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail are a prerequisite. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and a proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.

Must be able to work alone using their own initiative and also fit into a busy team when required.

Farming background may be helpful but not essential.

Salary range 30-37,000 depending on experience plus pension and 30 days holiday pa

Office based with free parking on-site.
