Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded in a timely manner. This role requires proficiency in accounting software, with a preference for candidates experienced in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage. We are a family run Scaffolding company and processing payment for all employees as well as managing the accounts for all jobs is involved.

Payroll Responsibilities



Dealing with tax codes and other HMRC notices Accurate and timely processing of end to end payroll for a variety of clients, with various pay frequencies Salary calculations including but not exclusive to pay increases, holiday, unpaid leave Deal with new starters, leavers, salary sacrifice, pensions, attachment of earnings, statutory payments Issuing payslips in accordance to company procedure Preparing payroll journals Preparing BACs files Year End reporting and submission Dealing with pensions for clients, including monitoring and submitting TPR declarations Dealing with HMRC and other external bodies

Bookkeeping responsibilities



Requesting records and information from clients Data entry, including the processing invoices, bills, expenses and receipts Bank reconciliations Wages journals Review and maintain aged debtors and creditors Reconciliation of control accounts Preparing VAT returns and reconciliations

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage is essential. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong numerical skills and analytical thinking. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Pay: 28,000.00-32,000.00 per year
