Job Overview



This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Bookkeeper/Junior Accountant, looking for a flexible working arrangement and a good work/life balance. You will support our Operations Director to oversee a wide range of financial and administrative duties and help ensure the smooth running of our operations and our client's businesses.

This is a hybrid position as there will sometimes be a requirement to travel within the UK to visit clients and colleagues in-person.

Key Responsibilities



Maintain accurate financial records for multiple SME's in a variety of industries Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements Prepare VAT returns and monthly reports Oversee and submit payroll and annual leave tracking, accurately and on time Prepare annual accounts Liaise with HMRC File pension submissions and liaise with pension providers to resolve any issues Be or become a QuickBooks Online specialist, able to provide basic training to clients Liaise with clients as needed Transfer clients from their previous accountants to us Transfer data from other accounting software such as Xero Promote the business and help secure new clients Provide administrative support as and when needed, to support the day-to-day business operations Research and provide a breakdown of accounting and tax information on gov.uk Help improve internal processes

What We're Looking For



A minimum level 3 qualification in accounting or bookkeeping is essential Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar finance role Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QB have plenty of online training to bring you up to speed) Ability to work with Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and SharePoint Strong understanding of accounts processes and bookkeeping principles High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
This is a part-time position with flexible hours to be agreed upon.

The full-time equivalent salary is 28,000 per year, based on a 40-hour work week.
