We deliver a wide variety of activity clubs, respite and support services, and we have an exciting opportunity for a Services & Development Manager to join our friendly and supportive team.
Job Purpose
BOSP's Skills 4 Life programme delivers fun bespoke small group activities for young people with learning disabilities, aged 18-25 years. Most days include exciting community outings designed to help the young people improve their confidence, communication, physical and life skills to improve their well-being and enable them to have greater independence and control over their lives
Duties
Supporting the Skills 4 Life Supervisor and team to deliver BOSP's Skills 4 Life programme for young people aged 16 to 25 years, who have learning disabilities, to meet the desired outcomes
To support the Skills 4 Life Supervisor, Family & Activities Manager in session planning in line with budget and policy guidelines. To help deliver activities which will promote learning in the following areas; communication, confidence and social skills, money handling and enterprise, food and nutrition, shopping and meal preparation, gardening, travel training, decision making, healthy relationships, personal hygiene, keeping a room/home clean and physical fitness. Delivery will take place at various centres including BOSP's Skills 4 Life Centre, The Pioneer School in Basildon, Thriftwood Scout Camp, Brentwood, as well as out in the community
To provide administration support, including but not limited to; Lamplight database entries, co-ordinating of waiting lists, appointments, new families, pre-and post-session paperwork and helping ensure sessions are prepared for adequately
To support the delivery and planning of BOSP's other clubs, Including, but not limited to sensory sessions, evening youth and after school clubs, Saturday and school Holiday Clubs, as required
To represent BOSP at local events, liaising with the Service Team and CEO, where applicable
To provide telephone support to new and existing families
To follow any instructions that the Supervisor gives to ensure the safety of the young people
To assist in all setting up and putting away
To help maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
To have due regard for safeguarding; promoting the welfare of children and young people, following child protection and vulnerable adult safeguarding procedures adopted by the Charity
To understand and carry out BOSP's Confidentiality Policy
To help the Charity maintain a good working partnership with parents/carers and third-party organisations
To keep up to date with and have good working knowledge of Standards, Policies & Procedures, and to implement them
Also, any other associated duties that are required

Pay: 14,286.00-19,048.00 per year
