Bosun/Gangway/Crane Operator is responsible for the following:
Operation of the vessel's motion compensated gangway. Operation of the vessel's motion compensated crane. Oversee Deck Maintenance and Operations in line with the Chief Officer's instruction and guidance. Ensure Deck Ratings perform work in accordance with the above, safely and according to best practice. The execution of duties as designated by watch keeping rota. Bosun is responsible to the Watch Keeping Officer on Watch for any / all duties. Bosun should be familiar with the use of Breathing Apparatus and possess basic Fire Fighting Skills. Forming part of both the vessel's on-board Emergency Response team, and Rescue Craft's whereby applicable. Monitoring safe working practices of shore contractors during periods of maintenance. Actively promoting and progressing the company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
