Brain Injury Support Worker - Part-Time (with potential to increase)





Location: Hull

Hours: 8 hours per week, with scope to increase to align with client's wife's work shifts

Pay: 15.40 per hour

We are looking for a compassionate and proactive

Brain Injury Support Worker

to join our dedicated team. This is a rewarding role where you'll make a real difference to a family's daily life, supporting a client to live as independently and fully as possible.


About the Role





In this role, you'll be supporting our client, a family man in his 50s who sustained a brain injury following a workplace accident. He experiences some physical challenges, including weakness in his right arm and leg, mild epilepsy, vertigo, tinnitus, and intermittent hearing loss.



Despite these challenges, he is determined to continue enjoying the things he loves -- especially football and rugby, which he shares with his daughter. We're seeking someone who shares this enthusiasm for sport and who can bring energy, empathy, and encouragement.



The family home is also shared with a friendly Labrador, so you'll need to be comfortable around large dogs.


Key Responsibilities




Providing person-centred care and support with daily activities, including personal care, mobility, and meal preparation Administering medication and monitoring health needs Supporting the client to remain active and engaged in the community, including football matches, rugby training, and therapy sessions Offering companionship, encouragement, and emotional support Working closely with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes

What We're Looking For




Previous care experience (brain injury experience desirable but not essential) A genuine interest in sport -- especially football and rugby Excellent communication skills and a caring, positive approach Confidence working independently as well as part of a team A full UK driving licence (you will be required to drive the client's car) Flexibility to work the agreed hours
