Job Description

Rebound Care and Support are seeking to recruit flexible experienced brain injury support workers to support our client. Our client is a female who lives in her own property.

Our client lives in Liverpool L33 area, and you will be working on 1:1 basis. The role will focus on providing personalised support to enhance her independence, daily structure, respecting boundaries, wellbeing and community engagement. Our client is looking for someone cheerful and confident to accompany her outdoors and support with rehabilitation programme and structure for the day. The client attends a weekly horse-riding lesson where you will be required to observe her performance and provide feedback. You will be part of a rehabilitation team so enthusiasm a must. You will also get supervision from a physiotherapist and neuropsychologist.

Due to the client needs we are seeking for energetic and active staff member, who can drive and have access to their own vehicle.

Monday to Sunday - 12h shifts (alternate weekends will be required)

Responsibilities


Provide personalised support with daily living activities (washing, dressing, meal preparation, mobility).

Assist with cognitive, behavioural, and emotional regulation linked to the client's brain injury.

Support rehabilitation goals, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology tasks, and community engagement.

Use specialist strategies including prompts, structure, memory aids, and behaviour support plans.

Promote maximum independence while maintaining safety.

Support with communication needs using appropriate tools and techniques.

Monitor and record progress relating to rehabilitation outcomes.

Support with medication administration in line with training and policy.

Use clinical skills such as PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, bowel management, or seizure management (if required and trained).

Follow care plans, risk assessments, and clinical guidelines.

Escalate any changes in health, cognition, or behaviour to senior management and professionals.

Skills, experience and qualifications required:


2 Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Excellent communication (verbal and written).

Ability to remain calm under pressure.

Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Ability to follow structured plans and adapt to changing needs.

High levels of empathy, patience, and resilience.

Good organisational and delegation skills.

NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).

6 months previous UK care experience.

Mandatory training certificates (medication, safeguarding, first aid, manual handling)

Training & Background Checks


An enhanced DBS check & full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client and you will also be supported by our clinical lead nurse for the area.
