What's the job?

We are seeking an experienced Motor Trade Branch Accountant to join a well-established and growing automotive business. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of motor trade accounting processes and dealer management systems.



This is a full-time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week.

Daily responsibilities include;

Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports Profit and loss analysis across departments (new, used, service, parts) Balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts VAT returns, payroll oversight, and cashflow management Year-end accounts preparation and liaison with external auditors Stock reconciliation and margin analysis Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls

Essential Requirements:

Proven experience as an Accountant within the motor trade Strong knowledge of motor trade accounting practices and KPIs Experience with dealer management systems (e.g. Kerridge, Pinewood or similar) Excellent analytical and organisational skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Desirable (but not essential):

Experience working with franchised or multi-site dealerships
