Role Overview
We are seeking an ambitious, results-driven Branch Sales Manager to lead and grow our residential sales operation. This is a key leadership role within our independent estate agency, focused on driving revenue growth, increasing market share, and developing a high-performing sales team.
You will combine hands-on sales expertise with strong leadership, coaching, and strategic thinking. Unlike a corporate environment, this role offers real autonomy, influence, and the opportunity to shape the future growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Growth & Performance
Deliver sustained growth in instructions, exchanges, and fee income
Develop and execute local sales strategies to increase market share and brand presence
Set clear targets and KPIs for the sales team, monitoring performance and driving accountability
Identify new business opportunities, pricing strategies, and revenue streams
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of negotiators to exceed targets
Coach and mentor team members through regular training, one-to-ones, and performance reviews
Recruit, onboard, and develop talent to support business growth
Foster a positive, high-energy, results-focused culture
Sales & Client Engagement
Win and convert new instructions through high-quality market appraisals
Build strong relationships with vendors, buyers, and key local contacts
Handle high-value or complex negotiations where required
Ensure exceptional customer service and strong referral generation
Operational Excellence
Oversee the day-to-day sales operation, ensuring pipelines are well managed
Maintain accurate CRM data and reporting
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards
Work closely with marketing to maximise lead generation and conversion
What We're Looking For
Essential
Proven experience as a Sales Manager or Assistant Sales Managerwithin residential estate agency
Strong track record of driving growth and achieving targets
Excellent valuation, negotiation, and closing skills
Confident leader with the ability to motivate and develop people
Commercial mindset with strong local market knowledge
Desirable
Experience working within an independent estate agency
History of growing market share or turning around underperforming offices
ARLA / NAEA qualifications (or willingness to work towards)
